Middle distance runner celebrating at finish line

My first major championships. Five days inside Glasgow’s World Indoor Championships, living trackside with a two-body setup and a brief to supply print and digital images for media back home.

Every session was a loop — warm-up hall, call room, trackside, media mix zone — and I filed selects between events so national outlets and sponsors had fresh shots within minutes.

The final lap is burned into my memory: the move, the hold, the exhale. Once the medal was secured, I stuck near the athletes through celebrations, flag drape, and interviews, delivering a story package before the arena lights cooled.
